I was at the palace of the Ooni of Ife to receive royal blessings and also for the Ekiti State people as we draw closer to the coming gubernatorial election for our State.
Just like every well-meaning and properly-brought-up yoruba child who does not forget the core culture of his lineage, I went to pay due respect to the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ọjájá II.
I have always believed, that our royal fathers are pivotal to the growth of our State, not just as custodians of our culture and tradition, but as critical stakeholders of the grassroots.
It was therefore a moment of reflection as the Ooni prayed gracefully for me and all my future endeavours.
I make this promise on my honour, that our traditional rulers will continue to play major roles in the governance of our State.
